multiextent module in ESXI 7.0.3?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to install the multiextent module in ESXI 7.?

I'm using ghettovcb to backup my VM's, and have been using the 2gbsparse disk format, and it's been working fine until I recently upgraded from ESXI 6.7 to ESXI 7.0.3(Dell image profile). For some reason the "multiextent" module doe snot seem to be present in ESXI 7, and I cannot find a way to install?

Searching for a solution I have only been able to find references to enabling the module using "vmkload_mod multiextent" or "esxcfg-module multiextent" and both of them fail with "not found" errors?

 

 

vmkload_mod multiextent
vmkmod: VMKModCheckMod: Access to file /usr/lib/vmware/vmkmod/multiextent failed: Not found
vmkmod: VMKMod_Load: VMKMod_ComputeModPath(multiextent) failed: Not found
Cannot load module multiextent: not found

@hamder,

I truly do not think this module is still available on ESXI 7, however I may be wrong. "ghettovcb" is a custom made script/VIB by one of the community members and formerly employees from VMware. I recommend you to open an issue on the Github post: https://github.com/lamw/ghettoVCB/issues?q=vmk

There could be more people there that faced your issue.
