multicast Issues

Hi all ,

I running esxi 5.1 and I have 4 linux vm.

The esxi connect to brocade switch. (layer 3)

In this switch I have a lot of servers (not virtual).

My problem started when I check multicast between vm to another server . it's not working.

* I check multicast between 2 vm's and it's working.

* I check multicast between 2 servers and it's working.

I have also pc's connected  to Cisco switch (layer 2) connect to brocade.

Multicast from pc to servers also work but again , to vm it's not work.

Maybe you have some idea ?

Hi There,

Could you provide information about Vswtich or DVSwitch? How they are configured?

Configuration changes need to be done to vSwitch or DVS. DO you have dVS for esxi hosts.

I think that solved the problem.

I connect Host to switch layer 2 and after that multicast start working!
