multi ESXi 4.1 in 1 physical server

hi all,

i need to be reconfirmed, that in 1 physical server i can only install 1 ESXi host, and i can still install multi VM inside that esxi host as long as the physical disk in the server is not exceeded but that means i cannot fully use vmware HA

Hi There,

Unless I am very much mistaken, your statement is corrrect.

ESXi is a bare-metal hypervisor, and you can only have one host-per-physical hardware.

You can, of course install lots of guests VM's inside that host.

Yes, with only one host you cannot have HA (after all, one physical box cannot be highly available!)
