media to install ESX 4.0

Hi,

I was told that ESX 4.0 can run on usb key for ie.

What I've to do is to migrate my ESX 3.0.2 to 4.0 so I would need ESX 4.0 on DVD.

Is it still possible to obtain ESX 4.0 on DVD media ?

You can download a DVD ISO image of ESX 4.0 which can be burned to a DVD. That's what I did in my eval environment. The file is about 800mb.

There is a USB image for 4 that you can download and write directly to the USB stick.

I think the image to write on the USB is only available for ESX 4i, not 4.0
