m.2 ssd to USB device not recognized by esxi

My device model: gen10 plus
Boot method: ESXI via Kingston USB flash drive

esxi version: 6.5, 6.7 and 7.0 were tried
The device I tried to add: a 256G m.2 2242 to usb, roughly like this https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Enclosure-Retractable-SST-MS09C-MINI/dp/B07JP1WWD2/ ref=sr_1_4?crid=27X8RHVCHA9HP&keywords=m.2+2242+to+usb&qid=1653583031&sprefix=m.2+2242+to+usb%2Caps%2C322&sr=8-4

Problem Description.
Enter lsusb and you can see this m.2 to usb device: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 2109:0715 VIA Labs, Inc

Enter /etc/init.d/usbarbitrator stop, esxcli storage core device list |grep -i usb, can only see the Kingston USB drive, can not identify the m.2 to usb device, also can not add this m.2 to usb device in esxi as data storage

I refer to the following solution in this post, then I can see this USB device in the adapter, but still can't add it as data storage: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/ESXi-Discussions/ESXi-6-Unable-to-connect-USB -Device-to-VM/m-p/486694#M40715

Strangely enough, a micro-b interface M.2 to usb hard drive enclosure like this one can be recognized by esxi, but the cable of this enclosure is too long to use: https://www.amazon.com/External-Converter-Adapter-Enclosure-Support/dp/ B07FY6FD4K

Is there any other way to add this M.2 ssd to USB device to ESXI.
