list of all vmware vsphere show stopper bugs

List of all vmware vsphere bugs that would prevent full throttle deployment (as of GA):

Cache corruption:

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/221646?tstart=0

TPS default large page table

(By default it used large page tables for guest and host and doesn't break it down to enable TPS until memory util gets high, As per design, whats the bug to fix here, as it is a performance improvement decision.)

vmxnet3 driver doesn show performance info (is this reproducible by other people?)

http://communities.vmware.com/message/1264148#1264148

Need to patch up to install dell openmanage 6.1.

(Awesome that you don't need a customized version.)

There was a poll when 4 was first released. Most people claimed that they would "wait until the point 1 release" before upgrading. I wonder how man JUMPED.

I also don't think these are showstoppers. They are certainly issues to be aware of but they either don't affect everyone or are things that can be overcome.

Honestly, none of these seem much like showstoppers. I'm actually surprised, especially after the 3.5 u2 fiasco......

Vcenter gives memory alerts, per:

http://communities.vmware.com/message/1317465

"What you are seeing is due to an inability of vsphere to track memory usage when hardware accelerated large pages are used."

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/211585

"A fix is promised from vmware with Update 1 of vsphere. If you wish the memory tracking can be corrected by disabling

one of the above features, (details in the linked thread) but this will affect performance."

why not a showstopper? the console performance degradation issue IS a showstopper for us, as it keeps us away from using ESX4

i have one more showstopper: vmware support

it just sucks.

they needed 18 (EIGHTEEN!) days to confirm this issue to be an issue and tell us, they have no timeframe for a solution,.
