licence concept

licence concept

when made more vm in esxi5  and install multiple oprating system live windows 7  windows 2008  more than 50 servers and workstation and install more application  so  how manage licence concept  example (if  have 5o vm work as servers and i nstall windows server 2008 in all this  50 servers   so i need  windows server 2008 each have own licence so i need  50 licence for each server also with application like sql server and  exchange server and any other  software)

Are you looling for license advice relate to windows or ESXi?

If for Windows you have buy individual license for every VM + Plus additional for each application

For ESXi license is based on vRAM model,

Good day,

More precisely, for Windows Server 2008 licensing, you can run up to four VMs on one Enterprise license.  You can run unlimited VMs with a single Datacenter license.  Depending on how big your virutal infrastructure is going to get, it may be wise to buy the Datacenter license.  Of course, there's also Volume licensing.  Check out this Microsoft link:
