Hi guys,

I am facing issues with VDR at one of our client locations. Backup is getting failed for around 10-15 servers, others are getting backed up.

few servers which were getting backed up successfully are giving problems now.

attaching you a document which would help you in getting a proper idea.

Did you look at this "Troubleshooting VMware Data Recovery backup issues"

Hi Guys,

I have got this.

To remove the lock files:
  1. Log in to the VMware Data Recovery appliance through the console with the root username and password.
  2. Change to the destination datastore and remove all .lck files from all destination datastores. For example, to remove the file store.lck file from destination SCSI-0\:1, run the commands:

    # cd /SCSI-0\:1/VMwareDataRecovery/BackupStore/
    # rm -rf store.lck

Note: To find all *.lck files, run this command:
    # find / -name *.lck

and also in some links got this warning as well..

If this folder  exists and you are certain there are no other instances of VDR using  this deduplication store, delete the lock folder. After deleting the  lock folder, VDR can complete operations as expected.

Warning: If you delete this folder and other instances of Data Recovery are using the deduplication store, corruption may occur.

please let me know how to check for there are no other instances of VDR using this deduplication store. How to check and when I will 100% sure that I can delete the .lck files please guide me.

Thanks
