ip conflict while adding second network card to windows 2008R2 VM in esxi 5.1 on HP DL580G7

Hi we are using vmware vshpere 5.1 on hp proliant DL580g7 , we using windows 2008 R2 guest ... we want to create sql clusters , while adding second network card to any of the Windows Guest os its shows ipconflict errors , any body can help us

Welcome to VMware communtiies.

I understand that you are adding a NIC to a VM and inside guest you observe ip conflict.

Please providre below information.

1. is there a DHCP configured in the environement ? if so you will not see IP conflict.

2. Is it a STATIC Ip you are configuring inside the guest ? if so make sure both the NICs are not using same IP address.

hi i am much clear about the ipconflict concepts, dhcp , static

its pretty clear we are not using that ip anywhere

but if i am adding second nic to vm its happening

Can you please post the command line output of ipconfig and screen shot of your network configuration of the ESX(i)host?
