I am working with a company that has 3 ESXi nodes without shared storage. They need to grow this quantity and I want to finally implement some shared storage. For an entry level implementation, what can people recommend? I know the HCL has many listed but I am looking for actual opinions based on experience. We can not consider any non enterprise or home type setups with hardware like Drobo for example but I don't want to simply throw a huge amount of money at the a non cost effective solution.
