iP hash load balancing Cisco ucs

anyone using the Ip hash load balancing policy when running ucs? The UCS is connected via a VPC to nexus 7k switches. Or should it be route based on virtual port ID?

If you are using ESXi 5.5 with a VDS you can create a true LACP(active or passive) trunk now with other options since you have a Nexus 7K.  I would use that or the LBT instead of IP Hash as IP hash has never done a great job with etherchannel

Here is some articles about it:

Also vmwares hands on labs has a free lab on setting this up and playing around with it.

Hope this has helped.

Unless you have specific requirement to use etherchannel/ip hash I would not bother.  I agree with JPM300, it is easier to use LBT.
