    Hi,

I have a HP Proliant DL 580 G5 server and I have installed ESXi on it.

I have verified Intel VT is enabled in BIOS, but when I look at the client from vsphere, I see hyperthreading as inactive and EVC mode is disabled.

    Please see the doc.

Can someone please advise what could be wrong ? Thanks

EVC needs to be enabled from within the vSphere client and isn't necessary unless you have multiple ESX(i) hosts with different processor families.

    HI,

I am about to add another DL 580G5 server to the cluster. How can I enable HyperThreading from vsphere client or from virtual center ?

as troy indicated the CPU in question does not support hyperthreading and if it did you would have to enable it in the BIOS
