how to make groups (objects)

hi all

I am relatively new to the ESXi 5 server

I want to make under the ESXi server sub-folders, calling them one Linux Lab, Windows Lab, Cisco Lab ,,, etc.

and run them on demand, (one day run linux lab, another day run windows and like that)

how to create such folders

???

Its possible by a tricky method. you must scheduled Task to Change the VM power state on specific times, or when  you boot a windows lab vm it will execute other vm in same folder to boot and others to stop.

however, I will use it almost 4 hours each day, (and no specific time) cloud be morning or evening.

so cannot I do that manually ??

Yes. there is anonther way to do that. you must create a vapp for each of your lab . and club those machine in those vapp. the vapp will work like your  vm and starting/stopping vapp will start and stop the vms residing on that vapp in same time. this will be more easy for you.
