how to extend linux size when doing v to v in vmware convertor

Dear All

I have a vm linux rhel 6 hosted on esxi 5.5, currently a added a new datastore on the same esxi 5.5 server, installed a vmware convertor 5.5 and plan to do "v to v" from old datastore to new datastore ( see attached screenshot), but found out that i wont be able to extend the linux storage size when doing the v to v, is there any way that i can extend the vm storage size when performing the v to v ? Thanks !

Click on the top drop down that says copy all disks and maintain layout.

You will find Select volume to copy. And then you will see a drop down near the space where you can Type size in GB.

Make sure you backup the machine before doing a v2v.

Hi

Welcome to the communities.

First move to destination and restart 2 or 3 times then switch off and edit storage size.

Hi Abhilashhb

No it can not modify the size in that area, it can not modify is the vm is linux, but i can modify in window OS, anyway i do need to v to v to the destnation, and then increase the Hardisk size,
