In the VMWare vSphere Client you can do "File -> Export -> Export OVF Template..." to create an OVF Template from a virtual machine. The virtual machine has to be powered off to be able to do this.

You should be able to use VMware converter to do this.

As Robert indicated you can create the OVF directly from the Vsphere client using the 'Export OVF Template' function.
For the import of the OVF it would just be 'Deploy OVF Template'

Hi I have tried the VMware Vsphere Client but my only options to export are:
Export Events
Export List
Export Maps
Export Diagnostic Data
What other method can I use to export my virtual machine to .ovf format?
you have to be clicking on the VM then click on Export so you will get the Export OVF activated.
