Do you want to check how much IO is happening? Connect to esxi host via putty--> Type esxtop --> default cpu counters are shown --> Type d to go to disk view --> CMDS/s shows total IOPS for all the worlds. You can check the value for the particular Linux VM.
If networking counters are needed, type n
