and remember that shares in resources pools are not inherited by the VMs in pools. the shares is related to the pool itself.

Make sure you have an understanding of shares and reservations before creating resource pools. The amount of CPU resources allocated to a vm is relative to the amount of shares in the pool divided by the number of VMs in the pool and relative to any other resource pools you may have created at the same level.
