How long does it take for machines to restart on other hosts after a failed host? also what determines what determines which vms gets migrated after the host comes back online?

I agree about reading the HA Deepdive at Yellow-bricks. But just for some reference - I just did some HA testing on brand new Dell R710s before going live. In all testing the HA event was detected and VMs were restarted in around or under 1 minute.

As everyone has said the HA deepdive is a must read. As far as time it takes in all of our testing our VM's have come online in 1-3 minutes after a simulated failure.
