how do install/enable web client on esxi 6.5 free version?
i'm new to vmware and virtual machines so......
The web Client is included in ESXi 6.5, i.e. no need to enable or install anything separately.

if that is so how do i get to the web client?
i get this screen but no option or button to get to web client. do i press a spacific button or something?

The screenshot you provided is the one of the host's console.
To access the web client, open a browser on another system, and enter https://<host-or-ip>/ui/ e.g. https://10.0.0.3/ui/
