how do consolidate esxi automatically after backup

Hi

i have a question about consolidate

i have added my esxi server to backupexec server and get backup from my virtual machine today see in event tab of esxi host :

Virtual machine STD disks consolidation succeeded.

Will esxi automatically do consolidate after get backup ?

It's actually the backup application's responsibility, to trigger the snapshot consolidation for the previously created snapshot, after it is done with the backup job.

Hi ,

VM backup softwares like backupexec , networker , veem will do automatic disk consolidation if it required on VM .

Software will perform snapshot creation , Deletion and consolidation automatically
