health of ESXi host

hi there,

Where can I look for overall health of my ESXi server?  I have a few vms that are running quite sluggish and I'm curious if I possibly have some failing underlying hardware component?

Curious if i can run any type of health checks against the hardware?

If you have installed a vendor-customized version of ESXi (and are using said vendor's hardware) it usually comes with a CIM module that shows hardware health under the Monitor tab. But, generally speaking, having sluggish VMs doesn't usually end up being faulty hardware. This is one of many cases where it pays to have a full-fledged monitoring suite like vROps in place.
