free version..evaluation 60 days remaining?

Hi,

I downloaded and installed ESXi 4.0.0, 171294 on a HP Proliant DL385 G1 AMD Opteron. It works great.

However, After uploading my images to the datastore with the client downloaded from the

(Help About says vSphere Client 4.0.0 Build 162856, Vmware Esxi v 4.0.0 Build 171294 )

I see evaluation version 60 days remaining. (this is also seen in the getting started document)

(see attached jpg)

I was hoping to have downloaded and deployed the free version.

Is the version not free and really timebombed?

After registering for download the free edition you should have recived an email with the license file to upload to the ESX Server

Use your VC-Client and connect to your ESX-Host. Choose your ESX-Server got to Configuration Tab Software Licensed Features - License Source Edit. Use Host License File.
