firmware

We have cisco blade servers ( firmware release date : 2016 ) and 6.5 ESXi server. system is running stable. I checked the current firmware version with 6.5 on the VMware so there is no problem.

the customer wants new version firmware update for these servers but the system is running stable. we don't know if there is any problem after the firmware update. new features or new improvements in the release notes, but we do not know any problems after the firmware update. What would you suggest? we see some improvement but we do not know if there is a problem and we cannot guarantee that the customer will not have any problems. How can I find a reason not to do? Is there such a thing?

So you're wanting a guarantee that a future/newer firmware won't give you any problems whatsoever? You won't get one as that's just part of life. What you can say is that

  1. Firmware updates should be part of all upgrade/update processes
  2. They fix critical security and stability issues (even if you haven't been impacted by them yet, you may in the future)
  3. They introduce new features which could be of value
  4. They're required to maintain compatibility against certain systems
