expand lun with wrong size

I accidentally expanded the LUN with the wrong size (1300TB), which is not supported by ESXi. I am aware that the only way to fix this is by performing storage motion to a new LUN and then destroying the incorrectly sized LUN. This process will take a few days to complete. In the meantime, I wanted to ask if there are any issues with the ESXi cluster?

Issue no, but performance degradation.

Does the performance degradation respect that particular LUN or the entire cluster?

Would be better remove LUN and re-mount again with correct size
