esxtop network

On esxtop i selected network and i didnt see our virtual machine . I have a few names under used-by but I can not see the our vm's names why i cant see virtual machine names. Also time , What is the meaning of this time. if it is esxi time .it is wrong but on vcenter time is true and ntp is running.


we have esxi 5.5 u2 and standart switch on the virtualization infrastructure.

The ESXi host runs on GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time. The windows, and web clients only adjust the displayed time according to your PCs time zone settings.

If should be able to see the VM->VMNIC association in esxtop after pressing "n".

yes ''N'' but there isnt true vm name . true vm name is testabc01 but on esxtop network tab name is testabc . I see on cpu and memory tab name is true

It may be an issue with the console screen size/width. Just to rule this out, please connect to the ESXi host using e.g. putty, and resize the window (as large as possible). Then start esxtop and press (lower case) "n".

If you don't see what you expect, please post a screenshot.
