esxi 7 network disconnecting

Hi, i have Esxi 7 installed on Dell - T640 as bare -metal , it is working fine. But the only issue when i remove the network cable and reconnected.I am losing the connectivity in the host. Then i have to restart the network manager to establish the connectivity.Means when i lost the connectivity and to re establish it need to restart the network services.Your valuable help in this regard highly appreciated.

Thanks

Eyad

Hello qgec,

How many vmnics have you configured on your Management Portgroup and how is the Teaming and Failover policy?

If you have only one uplink then is expected and if you only have one VMNIC active but not VMNICs as standby adapters but unused instead this is also expected.

Hi Lalegre,

can you explain me why it's expected if the host has only one NIC and if it's disconnected during operation the network manager have to restart for working again?

In my case I have to restart the whole host to get it working again. I use only one little VM on an Intel NUC i3
