Hello guys,
It seems like this is something that can be possible, but there is very little documentation about this topic.
So I'm hoping that some fellow-VMware guys can help me out.
I'm using a vmware 5.5 setup on 4 IBM hosts, the host are all the same version, firmware and such and same amount of CPU's RAM, LAN-adapters with vLAN. all running with shared storage from multiple SANs
The hosts are running some different guests server roles like domain controllers, exchange servers and so on.
I've got them all connected and controlled in a vCenter.
Now, and more are coming in the future, I've also got some terminal servers, running Windows server 2008 R2 SP1.
But when users are connecting to those servers and are doing different things like:
Browing the web, moving windows around. Watch a video on eg. YouTube.
It's like its "lagging" a bit for all those users.
Like if you are having a computer with a graphic card, but havent Installed the drivers.
I've bought a Quadro 4000 card because I read that this could be used for hardware acceleration to the users.
The users are just running either a normal PC or a Thin Client.
Have anyone got any experience with this?
I'm thinking about trying it out with a 5th host im about to set into our environment in the nearest future and but fírst do some testing with this.
Is there anything I should be aware of before starting out attempting to bring up user experience on the terminal servers though Remote Desktop
