esx4 Update 2 trial?

Hello,

I'm noticing for end-user customers that ESX4 U2 is downloadable.

But I would like the opportunity to test it first, when trying to download the trial, it is still Update 1. Is there a direct link for update2?

Or when would U2 be released for trial download, please?

When you download it, you will recieve an 60 days trial.

Thanks for the link, but as I said in my starting post, this download is only intended for partners, I assume.

When I try to download it (and I am a registered user) I get a error message as shown in attached screenshot.

When trying to download a trial, only update 1 is shown...

Yes, current build number for ESX 4.0 U2 and ESXi 4.0 U2 is 261974.

I'm almost sure that the U2 trial download will be available soon,it may just be a link that has not been updated yet.

For ESXi you can also use the U1 installation and then update to the latest version via the host update utility which is an optional part of the vSphere client installation.

Thanks for being that helpfull, I'm also certain that the correct files will be available soon as a trial download, but the release was 5 calendar days ago and we needed that build as soon as possible.

Because our new servers get a PSOD after installation due to the new hardware not being supported in U1.

Hopefully also vCenter 4U2 will be available soon

In response to the PSOD and new hardware. Have you checked to see whether the hardware is on the Hardware Compatibility List. The HCL does show U2 compatibility.

Hopefully also vCenter 4U2 will be available soon

If you aren't eligible for an ESXi download on the trial page you won't be eligible for vCenter either.
