esx 4.1

Hi, If there is anybody that can help, I'd appreciate, I have a esx 4.1 farm running and want to check with update manager, but this does not seem to be installed, I have researched quite a lot and they all point me towards installing vcenter, My question is ( even is dumb), how can I check if that feature is installed, or add it, Oh forgot to say, its on a secure network with no net access. thanks inadvance

To use VUM you need to have vCenter in place and install it as additional plugin on the vCenter server
