enter a disk size which is larger than its original capacity

Hello 

vmware esxi 6.7

trying to add RDM disk to vm, an geting this Error:

"enter a disk size which is larger than its original capacity" 

looks like esxi caliculating wrong rdm disk size.

Have anybody had souch problem  ?

Looks like problem is with LUN size, with 300GB no problem with size recognition,

 

SOLUTION:

add RDM disk manualy I did it by powershell api.

Some details might be helpful.

Are you trying to add a new RDM, or an exiting one, i.e. one that already has a mapping file?

What's the LUN size that you want to use for the RDM?

Its new RDM disk no maping file,

size 1.4TB,

I tryed to map in another vm the same problema.

That's unusual. I've never seen such an issue myself.

Are you trying to add the LUN as an RDM from the ESXi host 's GUI, or from vCenter Server?
What are the build numbers of ESXi, and vCenter Server?
