doublication of fc adapters in ESXi8 installed on poweredge R6515

Hi

After a successful installation of vsphere on several dell poweredge  R6515 servers, that have each of them one dual port FC adapter, I can see four adapters in the environment of vsphere 8.

Each one of the adapters is recognizable by name: vmhba3, vmhba4, vmhba64 vmhba65.

The first two I think that have meaning, the last two are created because of the existence of NVMe driver.

The question is:

This situation is possible to cause problems in the connection between servers and the storage?

I have to mention that the servers does not use SAN storage for boot but we use local disks.

Our fc switches (cisco mds 9148s) under the fcns database they show in the Feature column the following info:

scsi-fcp: init NVMe:init

that seems to understand two kinds of initiators for the same PWWN.

If someone can give any advise would be helpfull.

Thank you

This is the expected behavior, and is not supposed to cause issues.

Please see e.g. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/84325 for details.
