does Vmware supported DAS clustering?

That's with 2 x 2003R2 Server vms on Dell Blades connected to DAS, is this architecture supported by VMware? Secondly, if configuring HA/DRS how does this affect support.

For HA/DRS you need a shared storage which can be seen by both cluster nodes/blades simulatniosly. A DAS is usually connected to only one server, so that does not work for HA/DRS.

You could use the DAS storage to build your HA/DRS ESX cluster. But one thing you need to do is that make sure you can config share lun in the storage. Maybe I think too much, the share lun is the basic function in a storage.

what I'm looking for is to quote a customer an end-to-end supported virtual environment with 2003R3 Server and SQL 2005 2 node cluster using Vmware vSphere 4. My options are the following so far with storage:

using DAS (scsi)

using iscsi with NAS or SAN (no FC)

is there a completly supported environment or something close using the above configurations?

Thanks
