disk usb not found

Hi:

I am try connect one disk USB to the host (5.0.0 ESXI) but i not seen the new datastore, I do not see the device in the virtual machines either.

you wanted to use USB in VM or the host??

A usb disk cannot be a datastore.

a usb disk for the vm has to be passed through

What are you exactly trying to do, a USB should not be used as Datastore or from my experience i have used the USB to install the ESXi on the host for which you have to make a boot able ESXi USB. if you any further questions please let me know.
