We added a new esxi to the cluster. While checking the storage adapters, we saw that there are too many adapters in 2 others on our new esxi. Is this a normal situation? why the number of adapters is different. there is also a storage performance problem
Quick question:
are you using the same hardware/firmware version on both hosts? that might have to do.
Hello ferexderta,
vmhba devices in the range starting from vmhba32 are *generally* local USB/SD devices - check vmhba39 (the only seemingly active one with any paths and IO on it) - is this the currently configured boot device of the ESXi host?
What may have occurred is multiple attempted/failed installs or re-installs leaving behind these old references, likely selecting the next available vmhba3X number available each time - these (other than vmhba39 of course!) can likely be safely removed as they are not connected to anything.
Note that it looks like you have no storage device configured/attached to your vmhba0 and vmhba1 on that host either.
