i will build snmp by vshpere version 5.. also i haven`t been to build snmp

i wonder what to use snmp....

vshpere client conection vcenter server...

menu Home->vcenter server configuration->snmp

i should config SNMP?....

Welcome to the VMware Communities forums.   You can use the SNMP configuration screen within vCenter to configure vCenter to send SNMP traps to an SNMP monitoring host.

Are you using SNMP to manage your network right now?  If not you might just find it easier to configure email alerts.

you thinked about just recive an e-mail ( home->vcenter server->snmp menu)....

but example i want to recive an text massage... so what do i have to something?

vCenter can't send text messages.  There are alternatives though.  You could get vCenter to fire off an email to an sms gateway service that converts the email to text message and sends to the number in the subject line?

Another alternative is integrate your Monitoring platform with an SMS messaging service of some sort.  vcenter can throw traps to your monitoring system, and that can then send you an sms.

Just some ideas, good luck with it all.

Just curious to know if sending text message was implemented. I have a similar requirement to send text messages to multiple mobile numbers automatically in case of an event.
