copying data from ESXi host

Hi,

I have an ESXi 5.5 host and I have placed some data in /tmp location. Due to some issues with the host, I could not access the host via ssh or copy data using winscp tool. I don't have DCUI to access the shell prompt. I can find articles/blogs to copy data from datastores to local machine using powercli. However, I could not find the steps to copy data from system partitions like (/ , /tmp , /var/core). Is there any way to copy the data from /tmp to any other datastore with the host or any possibility to copy data from /tmp to my local machine using powercli?

Regards,

Suresh

To use powercli you need to login to ESXi. If you don't have access to SSH/DCUI, unfortunately i don't think you can do anything inside the ESXi OS.

Everything that I have found is to copy files from/to a Datastore via PowerCLI, but not from the /tmp folder.
