Dont think this is in the correctl location. The VMware View guys might be able to advise better

PC-IP is a VMware view only protocal and as fr as i know there is no Thin client build with this.

The only software I've found which can turn a fat client in to a thin client for free is ThinStation but I've never managed to get it working

The good news is that it does support VMware View (and maybe even PC-IP) but it also supports RDP and VNC so you can work it that way

You can turn Ubuntu-based Linux distros in to Thin Clients, though I've never managed to get that working either!

Good luck!

Pretty much any distro really although there are some specifically ment for thin clients.

You can actually now get the VMware's thin client:

Actually, here is an example of how to do it:

Thx, but VMware View Open Client doesn't support PCoIP and I need a free Thin client supporting PCoIP.

Sorry, I thought VMview client v4.5 supported it. Apparently it does not support PCoIP yet.

Why do you need one which supports PCoIP? It's a proprietary format

We will use PCoIP, because our clients connecting to Virtual Desktop from ESX4.1 over WAN.

PCoIP should be much better than RDP over WAN.

Ah, I see - from what I can gather, RDP is still good but if you really want PCoIP, have a look at http://communities.vmware.com/thread/241868 for more info. Looks like you have to use the VMware View Client or hardware designed for PCoIP from someone such as WYSE
