configure esxi to not complain about loss of power redundancy on a system with only 1 power supply.

How do you configure esxi to not complain about non-redunant power supplies on a system that only has 1 power supply?

I have looked on the web and dell site, and cannot find how to set this.

Just disable the alert trigger. If you are using VCenter, it is probably set at the top level.

Select top level of Vcenter (or host if not using Vcenter) Alarms tab, change view to Definitions, sort by name, scroll down to "host hardware power status" , double click and remove checkmark from "enable alarm"

Now that will trickle down to all hosts, so if you have other hosts with redundant PS, you may want to actually remove that alarm at the top level, and then set at the datacenter or host level for the hosts that do have 2 power supplies.

I think their is a method to configure the server to know it only has 1 power supply.

Getting rid of alerts in open manage for a Non-existant power supply

Which links to this solution: which is not accessible.

That would work.

I am trying to find a method to configure the server to know it should only have 1 power supply.

I think this is possible.
