changing qlogic fibre hba settings in esxi

I have an esxi 4.1 server with a qlogic HBA that i need to change the data rate on from auto (default) to 4gb.  Typically I do this with scli on my esx hosts, but as this is esxi, I don't have this option.  So the question is, how do I go about setting the data rate for a qlogic hba in esxi?

You can set parameters and upgrade firmware with Sansurfer:

But I've tested only on ESX, not on ESXi (in this case I prefer use DRAC/iLO and reboot the host to enter in the HBA BIOS).

Unfortunately, sansurfer won't install as this is esxi.  Guess I'll open a ticket with vmware and see what they say.
