Hi,
suddenly yesterday 3 of my hosts went down. i'm unable to reach them via ssh or vclient, and they are disjoined from the Vcenter.
I was able to get in with 2nd management console and start my VMs
when i do a 'service network restart' it tells me there's some host using the IP. I think i'm sure thats not so.
u guys have alwayz helped.
need u help again..:smileyconfused:
Which system tells you about the duplicate IP? Does that affect all three hosts?
AWo
The IP belongs to Service Console2. all three host have two service consoles.
could you relate in more details as in the ip range for service console 1 and then the range for service console 2. that would allow us to visualize better and help you ..
service console1 -- 10.10.7.0 range
service console 2-- 192.168.0.0 range
i would think that it would be another server that is causing the conflict. i will disable the management network 1 and do a windows arp to find the mac address of that particular trouble maker and nail them down.
tnx alot man.
A collegue set up a rogue dhcp server.
Nmap scan showed the servers and the ip addresses..
we shut down the servers, and restarted network services on the esx hosts.
I can smile again, atleast for now.
