can't connect to host via ssh and vclient

Hi,

suddenly yesterday 3 of my hosts went down. i'm unable to reach them via ssh or vclient, and they are disjoined from the Vcenter.

I was able to get in with 2nd management console and start my VMs

when i do a 'service network restart' it tells me there's some host using the IP. I think i'm sure thats not so.

u guys have alwayz helped.

need u help again..:smileyconfused:

Which system tells you about the duplicate IP? Does that affect all three hosts?

i would think that it would be another server that is causing the conflict. i will disable the management network 1 and do a windows arp to find the mac address of that particular trouble maker and nail them down.

tnx alot man.

A collegue set up a rogue dhcp server.

Nmap scan showed the servers and the ip addresses..

we shut down the servers, and restarted network services on the esx hosts.

I can smile again, atleast for now.Smiley Happy
