[ask] Does ESXi 5.5 Support Linux Vine?

Hi All,

Actually, I already checked on VMware Compatibility Guide, and I didn't found that vSphere 5.5 support to run Linux Vine.

Does someone has experience to run Linux Vine on vmware vsphere environment? If possible I plan to convert my physical linux vine (2.6) server to virtual.

ESXi should allow you to run different flavor of linux even if it is not listed under VMware compatibility matrix.

we have an option to select "other linux 32bit/64bit" operating system while creating a VM in ESXi.

Having said that, VMware will not support anything else that what is listed on the HCL. any issues and you are solely responsible.
