after Upgrade ESXi 5.0 to esxi 5.5 problem root login in to host Esxi

Hello guys,

I have this problem:

I have done upgrade ESXi Host  from version 5.0 to version 5.5.

After the upgrades I can manage ESXi Hosts only from Vcenter and no more from ESXi directly.

The hosts was already registered in Vcenter before upgrade.

I can't login on any ESXi host  by using  vsphere client root login, ssh root login and ilom root login . I haven't other user.

I have disabled  lockdown mode, and enabled ssh server and esxcli on ESXi Host.

Someone can you give me some idea?

i don't know ...

Regards

in log from vcenter : Authentication of user root failed. Please consult ESXi Embedded

Are you saying you can get to the DCUI console or can't even do that?

If you have lost root password it appears the only supported way is to rebuild the server.

thank for your replay ...

No I can't do the login in DCUI, the response is "the password incorrect".

Is possible reset root password to ESXi Host  with Host profile from vcenter Server?

Regards Stefano.
