accessing a esxi datastore from another

I want to access a datastore located inside a esxi 4.1 server since another one. Is it possible ?

unfortunately P2V doesn't have a CLI or schedulling

what about Veeam FastSCP ?

You can use scp with keys and cron service...

But you cannot copy file while the VM is running.

Seems you want to make backup of your VM... if so consider a real backup solution:

What do you mean?

Across two ESXi? The answer is no... you must use shared storage.

Or browse a datastore, enter in a folder and see another datastore? In this case you can create a symbolic link with ln command, but I suppose that it will not recommended by VMware.

yes, across two ESXi !

I don't understand why is impossible. I could transfer VMs over SCP from one to another using scripts, right ?

why GhettoVCB.sh couldn't do it ?

if you want to move VM from one ESXi to another much better use Vmwarer Converter for a V2V

much faster and reliable that scp

wait a minute you want to move your VMs while they are up and running? I mean like simulating Storage vMotion?

if so you need a shared storage as stated before....
