What do you consider a "wrong architecture" with this?

Update Manager only supports host upgrades to the current version.

Why it's not support 5.1 tell me ?

Vsphere 5.1 is end support ?

I am not upload 4.1 bundle right

So you mean to say i want downgrade my vCenter update manger from 5.5 to 5.1 ?

If  i am using vCenter update manger 6.0 and upload the 5.1 bundle, it will not work i know because of both are different version,So 5.x will support 5.5 update manager that is my concern.

See this is my situation, my current organization is running vCenter & update manger 5.5, So we are planning to upgrade the hosts from 4.1 to 5.1 U3 because of my current hardware will not support 5.5 and my DRAC console was not available for ESX host. So we are planning to upgrade the ESX host through update manger but now no use .

Unfortunately, I can't tell you whether there's a technical reason for this, or whather VMware just decided to do it this way.

So you mean to say i want downgrade my vCenter update manger from 5.5 to 5.1 ?

Not really. Update Manager and vCenter Server have to run on the exact same version, i.e. Update Manager 5.1 is not supported with another vCenter Server version.

How many hosts do you have in your environment? Depending on the number of hosts you need to upgrade, it might be worth considering an interactive CD-ROM upgrade!?

That's why i said this is Wrong architecture in VMware

My Concern is 5.5 version should support to 5.0,5.1,5.5 otherwise they will release the vSphere Host Update Utility esxi 5.x,So we can upgrade any version Separately .

I have 20 nos of host and it's located in remote location.

This is a user's forum. If you are asking for a product change and/or enhancement request, you may need to open a support case with VMware.
