Windows vCenter Server 5 Enterprise Plus to vCSA Enterprise Plus

Basically, we have a Windows vCenter Server and my boss would like me to deploy the vCSA while keeping the Windows vCenter Server on the host.  Should I deploy the vCSA through the Web Client or on a Standalone host that is already managed by the Windows vCenter Server?

We want to test the vCSA out before committing to it while keeping our Windows vCenter Server

Yes, you can put a host into maintenance mode, move the VMs off, remove it from your Windows VC, and then add it to your new appliance.

Do you have hosts you're going to use to test the vCSA with?  A vSphere server can only be managed by one vCenter at a time.  There is no issue running the vCSA as a VM on hosts managed by your existing vCenter as long as it's managing different hosts....

As for now, I have deployed the vCSA on a host that is managed by the Windows vCS.  I am currently installing ESXi 5.5 on 4 new hosts and I am assuming my boss will like to join those hosts to the vCSA.

So should I not configure the vCSA through the Web Interface and wait until I have the other 4 hosts up and running with a clean ESXi5.5 Install?

Or I can migrate all the VMs from one of our hosts being managed by Windows vCenter Server, remove the empty host from the vCS Inventory and then register it with the vCSA that is currently running as a VM correct??
