We are experiencing time drift in every Windows Server 2012 virtual machine that we have freshly installed whenever we run google chrome. Time synchronization would be fine overnight, but as soon as we run google chrome in the morning, the server time starts to gradually drift. Time settings go back to normal after we switch off google chrome.
The virtual machine has not been joined to any domain. vmWare tools were installed and set to synchronize with the ESX host.
Is it just us experiencing this problem, maybe because of misconfiguration of our Windows Server 2012 virtual machines?
