Windows Server 2003 STD dynamic disk space reclaim

Hello,

I have problem with one server running Windows Server 2003 STD on ESXi 4.1 .

I extended disk from 70GB to 120GB. In Windows I see unallocated space but I wan't to revert changes (reclaim disk space I added).

When I edit VM config and change provisioned disk space back to 50GB operation is completed but disk space is still present on server.

When I check back VM config it still say that 120GB is provisioned.

How can I revert operation I did?

Regards

Wojciech

May this article can help with your problem http://vsphere-land.com/tips-tricks/re-sizing-virtual-disks

Have too converter to resize your disk.

Good luck

Hi,

I know Converter but this is production machine and I would like to avoid shutting it down.

Do you have any other ideas?
