Hey all,
I've just been looking into integrating our vmware esxi host into our active directory. I found a vmware official pdf on this for ESX 3, but i can't find any thing for ESX 4. The reason for my post is that i think that VMWare may have removed the feature from ESXi because all the information i can find on it in the 4.0 manuals suggests that you require vShpere Server to do it (which we don't have). That and i can't find a pearl script for the command in the command line tools for ESXi 4.
My question is, is Active Directory integration possible with ESXi 4 without vSphere server?
There was some thread about this.
Cause PAM modules are changed there are some issues.
But seems that is still possible:

Hello,
For ESX you can integrate with AD. With ESXi that is still not possible. Instead you use something like HyTrust to get similar functionality.
