Hi All,
Today one of 2k8 R2 VM restarted unexpectedly in our environment. I check in vsphere console task and events , couldnt find any events logged related reboot.
I logged into guest OS and found below events logged in event viewer. How do rectify the issue , whether it is guest OS or VMwae ESXi or Hardware issue.
Where to find the more information regarding the issue to find root cause.

Thank You All....For your reply.
I found why the VM restarted unexpectedly , its known issue with ESXI running on intel E5 series servers.
Below links guide you to check the VM Logs, to find the error reported when VM restarted .
VMware KB: Determining why a virtual machine was powered off or restarted
Have you looked at the DMP file? That will give you a more detailed reason why the system rebooted.
usually a driver problem i think
any other agents on it for snapshotting for example?
vmware tools has snapshot driver and backup exec agent has snapshot driver too.
just as an example
and like Cyberfed27 says. if you have a dump file use windbg to see what the problem is.
